Smart Agriculture Project

The Project is a cooperation between Embeddedfab and Electronics Research Institute “ERI”. It aims to enhance the agriculture process and monitor all its related activities.

 

The system is designed to monitor many physical parameters like:

 

• Temperature.

• Humidity of environment.

• Barometric pressure

• Luminosity sensor.

• Soil moisture sensor.

 

The System is comprised of two main unit; one or

more Nodes, one or more Smart Gateways, and an

administration portal that monitor nodes/gateways

and control actuator remotely through a web

interface.

 

 

The Wired/wireless node is designed using

a powerful and advanced MCU that

monitor, Analyze and forward the data to

anther adjacent node or to the Gateway

itself.

Smart gateway enables operator to:

 

• Extend the number of Nodes.

• Create groups of nodes

• Use different types of wired/wireless

communication protocols.

• Cover more area.

 

Through an online web portal, the system enables operators to monitor all physical parameters

related to air and soil, configure nodes with different parameter and might take some action based

on reading from the site; eg. turn ON/OFF water pumps.
